The economy of Aggieland is looking good, and even its sales and hotel occupancy tax revenues are on the rise, posting an increase of over 7 percent from last year’s collection. The Eagle’s city hall reporter Beth Brown reports on this:

Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski said the numbers are another indication of the health of business in Bryan-College Station, backing up NerdWallet’s ranking this week. The consumer website ranked Bryan and College Station as the fifth and seventh most-improved cities since the recession, respectively.

“It’s everything — new businesses and old businesses expanding,” Bienski said. “Our economy is doing well on all fronts.”

Shannon Overby, executive director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the healthy HOT fund results are from “a perfect storm” of landmen in town for seismic testing and other oil and gas activities and Kyle Field construction workers staying in the hotels, as well as a push to bring in events and tournaments.

It’s not surprising that more and more people are looking into buying real estate in the area to explore the opportunities from the booming economy. If you are one of those who are thinking of making the move, consider your family’s needs and preferences in choosing from homes for sale in College Station, TX by the Traditions Realty Team.

The first thing you need to do is find a neighborhood to settle in. Take into account proximity and travel needs to important facilities or conveniences, like your workplace, school for your kids, recreational places, and other amenities.

Once you have narrowed the choices of neighborhoods, list down the must-have features of your new home. Think about the number of rooms you will need, and suitable sizes to accommodate your family. In addition to basic needs like bedrooms and bathrooms, consider what you would want in your indoor and outdoor living spaces, as well as extras like storage rooms and kid-friendly designs.

What will tie up all your desired features together, however, is your budget. Determine how much you can afford and how you will finance the purchase. Get pre-approved for a mortgage so you will know the amount of loan you can take out. If you wish to buy a property that’s worth more than your loan limit, look into how you can pay for the difference.

With all the many options to choose from, it will help to work with a reliable agent who knows the place. An established real estate company like Traditions Realty Team will show you only College Station, TX homes for sale that meet your needs and preferences. Working with these pros can shorten the search process and help you find the perfect place for you and your family in no time.
