George Washington’s Copy of the Laws of the United States

The personal copy of the Laws of the United States, First Session 1789, owned by George Washington, will be at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum starting August 26.  This book contains the president’s copy of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other documents passed by the first session of Congress. This exhibit will be available to the public for viewing until September 9, 2013. This volume was sold last year for an amazing 9.8 million dollars!
