The airport is due to experience major upgrades and changes after a new outsourcing deal has been approved. This new outsourcing deal has granted Astin Limited, a Bryan-college station based company, control of all its operations, systems and services starting the 1st of June.
The airport is a flourishing non-hub regional airport within Texas, which provides scheduled commercial airline services and excellent general aviation facilities. This recent change will help enhance all the services offered by Easterwood for clients in the commercial side and even for private hobbyist pilots.
According to the 10-year contract set between the A&M system and Astin Limited, the university will continue to retain its control of all its improvements and its personal properties. In this agreement, Astin Limited has pledged $7 million to serve for capital improvements and $600,000 for its marketing expenditures. Easterwood is about to experience its own personal facelift as Astin Limited takes this opportunity to bring this airport into its maximum potential.
